Senior Hardware & IT Integration Engineer (Equity-Based) – Travel Across Germany!

Who We Are

We are iMouse, a fast-moving startup developing cutting-edge hardware solutions for mouse laboratories at universities and Contract Research Organizations. Our mission is to integrate advanced computer vision flywheels into their existing IT infrastructure seamlessly. While we’re currently pre-revenue, we’re offering a 5% equity stake to the right person who can help us bring our vision to life.

Your Role

As our Hardware & IT Integration Engineer, you will:

✔️ Travel across Germany to deploy and integrate our hardware system into university and CRO IT structures

✔️Set up a remote maintenance system so that traveling to the clients becomes less and less important.

✔️ Debug hardware and networking issues on-site and remotely

✔️ Implement and manage virtualization environments (VMs, Docker)
✔️ Configure and troubleshoot networking solutions (VPNs, VLANs)
✔️ Work hands-on with Raspberry Pi and embedded systems
✔️ Provide feedback on improving our system’s design and deployment process

What We’re Looking For

🔹 Senior-level experience in IT/hardware integration, networking, and troubleshooting
🔹 Strong debugging skills in hardware and software environments
🔹 Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi, IoT devices, or similar hardware
🔹 Deep knowledge of virtualization (VMs, Docker)
🔹 Expertise in networking (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, security protocols)
🔹 Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and interact with IT teams at universities and CROs
🔹 A startup mindset – willing to take risks and build something from the ground up
